About OBBOTEC

OBBOTEC is a startup with innovative technologies and the ambition to make a significant contribution to solving the waste problem, especially for the high-quality recycling of plastics and upgrading of biogenic waste streams. OBBOTEC has unique solutions for the plastic and biomass waste problem. OBBOTEC-SPEX (Selective Plastic EXtraction) converts a plastic-rich waste stream containing polyethylene (PE) and/or polypropylene (PP) by means of dissolution into reusable near-virgin quality plastic. The OBBOTEC-HydroCat technique turns a mixed biomass-plastic-containing waste stream into a largely biogenic fuel. Both technologies prevent waste incineration and thus improve the circularity of raw materials. By doing so, we contribute to a cleaner world with less waste and less CO2 emissions.
